Hello, Geekly readers! Sorry for skipping it last week, but there just wasn’t enough geek to all go in one place. Now that the dust is finally settling from San Diego Comic Con, though, there’s plenty! I mean, no tthat there isn’t always at least a little, but, you know. Some geek weeks are slower than others!

Let’s start with SDCC. I’m sure we’ve all seen some great costumes and amazing stuff come out of that pop culture explosion. And more of the best costumes. But by far my favorite story to come out of SDCC was that Bryan Cranston dressed as Heisenberg and no one knew. That dude is a genius.

In the “cool things you want to buy” department, this cute IndoGoGo campaign wants to dress your kids as geeks starting early. I personally love that R2D2 crocheted hat! And I would love to get this Indie Game the Movie Special Edition, which is beautiful. Of course, you could just get the Humble Weekly Bundle, which has a digital copy of the movie as well as Jim Guthrie’s entire discography. Wow! But I’m not going to lie… if I was only allowed to buy one thing this week, it would be the Sharkini Swimsuit. Though this Catbug hat is sorely tempting.

What are the funnies things I’ve seen? Well, this Cause of Death list is good for a laugh! As well as this picture of Gabe Newell. And I loved this story about the DM’s 7-year-old… well… just read it. Although nothing made me laugh harder than the epic Star Wars vs Game of Thrones battle.

And now to wrap it up with the random stuff! I imagine this is called Still Life with Fireflower, although some kind of joke about tripping on acid would work, too. Super Punch’s Lego Roundup blew my mind, as all his stuff does. He also posted this incredible view of Earth from Saturn. Wow! I want all of these laptop stickers, especially the Totoro one, and I wish the trash cans in Philly were this rad. But the greatest thing ever? My friend Colette Bennett‘s adorable new glasses. I can’t wait to see them on her!
