I’m not going to lie: I’m still not sick of zombies. Even with all the video games, comics, movies, and TV Series, I’m still not sick of them. Not even Zombieland put me off them. And I really hated that movie. For whatever reason though, I’ve never read a single word of “The Walking Dead,” and I’ve only seen the first two episodes of the TV series (which I loved), but I was really excited when presented with the opportunity to play the new “Walking Dead,” board game, I jumped at the chance. It’s a board game based on the most successful modern zombie franchise out there, so what could go wrong?
Halloween is right around the corner, and here in South Jersey USA we’re actually getting some snow today! If you knew our typical climate, this is kind of a rarity. Does this mean I need to stop making “Winter is Coming” jokes now? Already?! Like the guy in the chainmail and wolfpelt armor is going to stop making Winterfell jokes… CMON!
Here’s what went down this past week on Perpetual Geek Machine!
We Tweeted our amazement about this new DLC yesterday. We’ve made our (OK, well maybe MY love) for train games well known so we were absolutely certain that we wanted you to watch us play through some of these new scenarios for Railworks 3: Train Simulator 2012 so hop on board and ride this zombie-infested train with us, won’t you?
If you’ve watched enough television late at night, you’ve probably seen any number of different commercials for products that promise instant results with very little effort on the part of the consumer. I know for a fact that I can electrocute my abdominal muscles to perfection, learn to speak another language, and lose fifty pounds in mere days. Why, I could even take a pill that makes my penis bigger. It’s just that easy! That instant gratification and marketing tactic is exactly what “Limitless” reminded me of when I started to watch it. Bradley Cooper plays, Eddie Morra, a struggling writer with a mild case of depression and a severe case of writer’s block. He has a somewhat meaningless life. He watches daytime TV and tries to avoid paying his rent. That is, until an old friend introduces him to a new drug that allows him to utilize more of his brain and almost with the flick of a light switch, Eddie Morra is a genius.
Willow the Whale is having a pretty bad day. Turns out getting chased about by Baron Von Barry (an evil “thing”) kinda sucks. But Willow has a plan. He’s going to use the power of the Whale Trail to ride a rainbow into the sky and then fly to all the colorful kingdoms of Rainbow Land. Sounds like an acid trip your parents told you about they had back in the 70′s? Possibly. But it’s also an awesome new iOS game for your iPod/iPhone/iPad.
