Ep #00012 – Perpetual Geek Machine Podcast

Welcome again everyone to another episode of Perpetual Geek Machine! It’s episode 12 which is in itself hard to get excited about since it holds no arbitrary significance to us. Of course, that doesn’t mean we don’t bring our A game… cause we most certainly do.
This show is spread all across the map in terms of topics, since we hit video games, zombie tv, keytars, board games, and deep space exploration. Enjoy the show!

What’cha Been Doing? 2:48 – 1:05:41
- We start things off in the spirit off Halloween and talk “scary” movies and the recently supposed scary flick that didn’t really do much for Dan.
- Kevin kicks things off with a little Super Meat Boy discussion, which in typical fashion we have a love/hate relationship. But in a good way. Then the conversation moves onto Pinball FX 2 and the Red Dead Redemption DLC pack Undead Nightmare. In highly topical fashion we then talk the new Xbox dashboard and the surprisingly cool ESPN stuff that’s been added. If you like weird or niche sports, you should check this out.
- In addition to joining in on many of Kevin’s games Dan talks up Costume Quest from Double Fine, post apocalyptic RPG Gamma World, and the keytar rocking Rock Band 3
- Ryan also got down with lots of Rock Band 3 (on an Ion drum set no less!) but spent most of his time playing the new Killzone 3 beta.
- Then we all talked about and gushed over The Walking Dead premiere
Geek Spew 1:05:42 – 1:15:34 (Each of us brings a geek related news bit to the table to share and discuss)
- Ryan – Apparently there’s a Playstation/Android phone coming out. This has the potential to be crazy awesome, so long as the typical potholes can be avoided.
- Kevin – Would you take a one way trip to Mars if given the chance? That’s the question NASA is beginning to ask in public lately, offering up the idea that the best way to go to other planets and potentially colonize them is to make it a one way journey. A tough task, and an interesting topic for discussion.
Break (Featuring “Way Too Early Christmas Song” by Paul and Storm) 1:15:35 – 1:18:22
5 Hit Combo! 1:18:23 – End
- Dan Vs. Ryan
- This show’s topic: Top 5 “as of yet” invented tech products.
- Next topic: Top 5 movies that would be either incredibly great bad movies or incredibly worse bad movies if Keanu Reeves had been cast as the lead role.
