  • Perpetual Geek Machine: Show #00006

This one breaks from our usual pattern a bit as we wanted to take advantage of a long game night and talk about the games we had just played. Our friends Rich and Mike join us for some conversation during a slightly different “What ‘cha been doing” segment. The rest of the show however falls into it’s typical place with geekspew, 5 hit combo and homework rounding it all out.

Here’s the breakdown on where to find/follow us online! We also want to hear your feedback, whatever it may be… suggestions for homework or topics for 5 hit-combo, etc. As always you can follow us on Twitter. You can subscribe to the lovely podcast on iTunes or Zune marketplace. And get in on our hot, uncensored RSS action.

    Analog Games Corner: Cthulhu Dice

A few weeks ago I talked about the super fast, super easy Zombie Dice. It plays out in just a few minutes and offers a lot more fun that it’s basic components would seem. Luckily the rules are pretty different between these two dice games, so you can buy both and know you’re not buying the same game twice with just a different theme. OK, let’s awaken the Old God Cthulhu and learn all about his new dice game!

Analog to Digital, Digital to Analog

Two interesting videos for this this Friday. In the first we see the popular and near-classic board game Settlers of Catan made digital and awesome for the Microsoft Surface touch screen table. Um, I want one of these like yesterday.

In the second video we have a real world rendition of the high speed Playstation racer Wipeout. This setup uses cardboard, r/c cars and a tilting arcade cabinet. It is also awesome. Have a nice weekend everyone!
