As Discussed in Perpetual Geek Machine podcast: Episode #00005
Deathspank has been referred to as Diablo meets Monkey Island, and while I suppose that’s a fine comparison if you need to do it in just a few words I think Deathspank has a lot more to offer than just a Diablo clone with some funny bits.
I was never much of a Diablo fan (only played it a bit) but my love for Money Island has been the stuff of legend amongst the people that will let me talk about it. So while I was excited for Deathspank it remained to be seen whether or not I’d actually enjoy it. (more…)

I’m a gamer, always have been. Problem is for a large number of years that’s really just consisted of the video variety. That’s a huge mistake on my part, to not enjoy the video game’s analog brethren… the board game. In this column I’ll be diving into this world, looking at games that hopefully you’d like to try out for yourself.
The Orient Express is rolling through the European countryside, totally oblivious to the murder that’s occurred withing one of it’s cars. But who did it, where, when and how did it happen… and why? It’ll take a keen eye and remembering the important details if you have any hope of solving more of the case than everyone else.
Welcome aboard… the Mystery Express.
